ESTIMATED COST OF ATTENDANCE

The following information is provided to prospective students to assist them in financial planning. These figures represent estimated costs and as such, are subject to change at any time by the University’s Board of Trustees.


Tuition for the 2023-2024 Master of Speech-Language Pathology (MSLP) program is $11,500 per semester ($57,500 for the five semesters). A limited number of graduate assistantships are available. There is an MSLP program fee of $500 for the first three semesters and $250 for the final two semesters. The program tuition and fees include the following items for the duration of the MSLP program (unless otherwise indicated):

 

  • All background checks (via CastleBranch) and drug screenings required for clinical placements
  • CPR training
  • Calipso clinical hours tracking program (8 years of access)
  • All software programs used in courses (e.g. MBSImP, anatomy software, hearing software)
  • Simulation and skills lab fees
  • Liability insurance
  • Embroidered short white lab coat
  • Virtual medical library (Access Medicine and Up to Date)
  • National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) membership dues
  • Access to the TrueLearn Praxis® Question Bank, as well as additional Praxis® review exams
  • Access to Simucase and SpeechPathology.com

 

Students will be required to submit proof of up-to-date immunizations, consistent with the recommendations from  the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations for health care workers available at: http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/adults/rec-vac/hcw.html There may be additional expense for obtaining required immunizations or laboratory testing to document immunity.

 

Students will also be required to show proof of health insurance. Documentation is uploaded to the CastleBranch website. The cost of health insurance varies. Health care services are available to all students at the Campus Wellness Center. While the University does not have a student health plan, we partner with Campus Unity Benefits to provide individual health insurance plans to meet each student’s unique needs. Campus Unity’s current plan offerings can be found on MyMount.

 

Additional Expenses

Students must be prepared to cover living and transportation expenses while enrolled in the program. Most students choose to purchase a laptop or tablet to support their learning while in graduate school.

 

There are general university fees of $290 for the fall and spring semesters, $125 general university fee for summer semesters, and a graduation fee of $50.
