Since 2016, President H. James Williams has led the Mount in empowering students to become competent, compassionate, and critical thinkers.

On the first of July, Dr. Williams has renewed his contract for another five years to continue leading, serving, and advancing the mission of Mount St. Joseph University.

“I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve as the president of Mount St. Joseph University,” Dr. Williams says in a press release. “I will continue to work with our talented faculty and staff to provide the Mount’s undergraduate and graduate students with exceptional educations that prepares them for meaningful lives and careers.”

Dr. Williams led the $18 million fundraising for and construction of the Centennial Field House and Austin E. Knowlton Fitness Center; a state-of-the-art exercise facility for all students, and training facility for the Mount’s 22 NCAA Division III athletic programs. The Centennial Field House includes the only NCAA indoor track and field in the region. In addition, the Mount’s Archbishop Alter Library is in the process of being completely renovated. The improvements to this MSJ landmark include new spaces for students to gather and study, as well as an enhanced library infrastructure to support student and faculty research, writing, and success.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Williams on his remarkable contributions!
