Transfer Credit Policies and Guidelines

Here to help keep you on track with graduation, the Mount offers flexible and generous transfer credit policies.

Once you're admitted to the University, we'll conduct an official transcript evaluation. During this process, we determine how previous college credit will transfer. You can request a free, unofficial transcript evaluation before applying. Simply contact the Office of Admission and submit your transcript. Our analysts will tentatively apply your credits to our curriculum and help determine how many credits you will need to graduate from the Mount!

Check out our complete set of transfer guidelines for specific transfer policies and procedures.

Transfer Scholarships, Aid, and other Awards
Mount St. Joseph University is proud to offer competitive scholarships and awards to you as a transfer student. We review any student, transferring from a closing institution, for scholarships and need based aid. If there is a difference in your aid package from your home institution, Mount St. Joseph University will work with you to fill the gap. We will do our best to honor any non-athletic scholarships, awards, and need based aid.

To be eligible for Transfer Promise Award consideration, students will need to communicate directly with our Financial Aid team in order to provide and understand any previous award offer. Contact the Financial Aid Office by calling 513-244-4418 or emailing financial.aid@msj.edu.
