The Department of Communication Studies develops strong writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills for success in a dynamic, media-driven world.

Students who choose a communication and new media studies degree learn to apply communication theory and critical thinking in various communication settings. They learn about the role communication plays in the social construction of meaning, and develop the ability to communicate effectively, ethically and creatively.
