Cincinnati Art Museum – Founded in 1881, the Cincinnati Art Museum is one of the oldest art museums in the United States featuring more than 67,000 works of art. General admission to the Art Museum is free Tuesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets to their Special Exhibition are $6 with a valid student ID, but you can get in for free on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.! 953 Eden Park Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45202
Ensemble Theatre – Founded in 1986 and dedicated to producing world and regional premieres of works exploring compelling social issues. With great shows and great acting, there is sure to be something for you at Ensemble. If you are interested in attending a performance at Ensemble Theatre, you can purchase student tickets for $26 with a valid student ID, or try you luck at getting Student Rush tickets, two hours prior to each show time, when all remaining tickets for the day’s performance are available for $15 in person. 1127 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH 45202
American Sign Museum – Opened in 2005, Cincinnati’s American Sign Museum is the largest public museum dedicated to signs in the United States with over 100 years of American sign history. You can see some unique signs, learn about their importance, and take some good pictures along the way! Although they don’t have a student discount, adult tickets are $15. 1330 Monmouth Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45225
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park – Founded in 1959 this venue is nationally known for its commitment to new works and an artistic home for America’s best actors, directors, and designers. The recipient of two Tony Awards, this is the perfect place for your next performance; with their ten-month season, there is sure to be something you’ll enjoy. You can purchase Student Rush tickets the day of the show by phone or in person for $16.30 with a valid student ID.
Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra – Founded in 1894 and committed to enhancing and expanding music education for Greater Cincinnati. Cincinnati Pops, which performs as the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, presents a wide variety of music and styles. CSO is a great place to visit whether you are an orchestra fanatic or a newbie. You can purchase tickets through Student Access; prices are $15 for tickets to CSO concerts and $20 to the Pops. Limit two tickets per concert.
MSJ Theatre Arts – Of course I have to give a shout out to MSJ’s own theatre program which combines the Mount’s mission and the magic of the arts. You can see their upcoming production of “Almost, Maine” March 31 through April 3 in the Recital Hall. You can register for tickets online at alumni.msj.edu.
