Chris Sweeney serves as the Director of Student Leadership and Residence Life at Mount St. Joseph University, where he’s passionate about building a welcoming, supportive community for all residential students. Whether he’s helping students navigate their first year on campus or planning programs that bring people together, Chris is committed to creating a positive and inclusive living environment where every student feels at home.
Chris brings nearly a decade of experience in higher education, including previous leadership roles at Kentucky Wesleyan College and the University of Evansville. Throughout his career, he has focused on student engagement, leadership development, and wellness support—always aiming to make campus life meaningful and memorable.
He earned his Master’s degree in Leadership from the University of Evansville and a Bachelor’s in Finance from Indiana State University. Originally from Indiana, Chris now lives in Kentucky with his wife, their son, and their golden retriever, Milo. When he’s not on campus, you can usually find him on the golf course or spending time with family.
