Dr. Christy Heinrich was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where she received her Master's in Physical Therapy from MSJ in 2006.  She then continued on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2010.  She earned her ABPTS Orthopedic Specialty Certification in 2014.  Dr. Heinrich joined MSJ as an Adjunct Professor in 2012 and transitioned to a full time faculty member in 2018.  She has helped out in many courses including Biomechanics and Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Basic Examination and Evaluation, Therapeutic Modalities, Surface Anatomy, and Neuro Rehab.  She has been practicing for the past 12 years at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield in the outpatient, inpatient and acute rehab settings.  She has enjoyed the diversity of treating in all these different settings and loves to share all her clinical adventures with her students.  When she isn't teaching or working in the clinic, Dr. Heinrich enjoys spending time with her husband (who is a PT himself) and her very active 9-year-old son.
