Hannah Morgan

Biology ‘23

Hannah Morgan, a proud 2023 graduate, is making a significant impact at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Her journey began at the Mount, where she pursued a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Now, as a Clinical Microbiology Lab Technologist in the Diagnostic Infectious Disease Testing Laboratory, she plays a crucial role in analyzing clinical specimens, helping doctors make informed decisions about patient care. Hannah’s passion for science is now transforming into tangible results that directly benefit young patients. When not in the lab, you’ll find her racing for the Fleet Feet Racing Team in Cincinnati or giving back to her community by volunteering with a local high school cross-country team.

Nick Geraci

Biology ‘02

Since graduating from Mount St. Joseph University, Nick has navigated a winding road through academia and industry across seven states before finding his place at the intersection of bioinformatics, immunology, and neuroscience. Along the way, he earned an MS in Entomology (Purdue University) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (University of Notre Dame) focused on tropical infectious diseases. Now working remotely and settled in a quiet village in the White Mountains of New England (where even Delhi feels like a metropolis!), he's built an accomplished career using big data to answer questions at the molecular level, and helping turn complex biological puzzles into real-world medical breakthroughs.

Jonathan Scherff

Biology ‘25

Whether preparing to cross the stage or reflecting just after commencement, Jon is setting his sights on the future. In July, he will begin medical school—likely at the University of Louisville—with plans to pursue a vascular surgery integrated residency. After nearly three years working closely with vascular surgeons, Jon is excited to continue his journey: performing lifesaving procedures such as aneurysm repairs and bypass surgeries, and contributing to an ever-evolving field grounded in innovation and healing. At Mount St. Joseph University, Jon’s story is a living reflection of our mission: to educate students who think critically, act ethically, and lead lives of service.
