Biography:
Mr. Scott Lloyd is the Director of Library Services for the Archbishop Alter Library, a position he has held since first coming to the Mount in January of 2017. With over 25 years of experience working in academic libraries, Mr. Lloyd oversees the Mount Library as it fulfills its mission to provide information resources and services to students, faculty, and staff. In 2017, the Mount Library migrated to a new software platform for providing core library services, and a new website was also unveiled. In 2018, the Mount Library began a campaign to promote affordable textbook initiatives, and the library staff continues to collaborate with faculty on various measures to help students save money on textbooks. In 2019, the library began developing a digital archive of photos and other memorabilia that will be publicly accessible in time for the university’s centennial.
Mr. Lloyd also has 20 years of experience as an adjunct professor, teaching in the areas of biblical and theological studies, as well as courses in research and writing. He has also served as one of the instructors for the Common Ground course at the Mount.
Mr. Lloyd enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching movies, and exploring local history.
