Biography:

Stacy Mueller has served as the director of Project EXCEL at Mount St. Joseph University since 2013. Project EXCEL is a nationally recognized, structured, support program for students with learning differences. Prior to this position, Stacy held a position as a college counselor and retention specialist for a federal TRIO program serving 200 college students. In that role, Stacy also developed and supervised the college’s first Supplemental Instruction program offering peer-assisted study sessions to improve student retention and success with historically difficult courses. 

 

She also worked in the field of adult education in the area of assessment, GED preparation, literacy skills, and workplace training and development. While employed at Gateway Community and Technical College, Stacy was a member of the team responsible for the development and implementation of developmental education courses offered on that campus. Earlier in her career, Stacy worked as an intervention specialist teaching at the middle and high school level as well as providing transition services and educational evaluations.
